The Premier Community Bank Privacy Pledge demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest level of security, privacy and nfidentiality. You can be confident that Premier Community Bank will not sell customer information or customer lists to outside marketers.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Customer information includes the information we collect in the course of providing or offering our services to you and may also include:
- Information that would also be available from public sources, such as a listed phone number; information you record on applications or other account forms;
- Records retained from your transactions with Premier Community Bank;
- Credit information obtained from consumer reporting agencies or other creditors;
- Information requested from other parties, as authorized by you, (such as verification of employment or verification of deposits);
- Demographic and other information obtained from carefully chosen firms.
THIRD PARTIES
Premier Community Bank does not sell or share your customer information with any non-affiliated person, company, or organization, except in legally permitted circumstances. There are certain circumstances, as required or permitted by law, when customer information may be disclosed to third parties. For example, information may be shared in the course of administering your day-to-day banking or investment business with us, to offer you financial products and services, or if requested by you. The following are examples of when these exceptions apply:
- Companies we hire to provide services for us. We may enter into agreements with companies to perform marketing services on our behalf. We may also enter into agreements with other financial institutions to expand the availability of financial products or services we offer. For example, all of our wires are processed through an intermediary, the Independent Bankers Bank.
- Other entities as necessary to administer your banking transactions. Your customer information may be disclosed as necessary to process a transaction requested, initiated, or authorized by you. For example, we may share your information with a bank-approved appraiser or attorney in order to facilitate your loan requests or we may share information with our credit card issuer if you have entered a request to obtain a credit card.
- Consumer reporting agencies. We will share your information with reputable consumer reporting agencies.
- Legal process. As required by law, Premier Community Bank will comply with customer information requests through properly executed court orders, such as garnishments, levies, summons and subpoenas.
PROTECTING CUSTOMER INFORMATION
We restrict customer information to those employees who need to know that information as part of their job responsibilities. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. Any medical or health information you provide to us will also be carefully safeguarded. Employees are educated about the importance and requirement of compliance with Premier Community Bank’s Privacy Pledge through standard operating procedures, special training programs and our Code of Conduct. Closed and inactive accounts are held to the same privacy standards as our current customers.
MARKETING AND DIRECT MAIL
On occasion Premier Community Bank may send direct mail or telephone you with offers for enhanced services and special offers, if you are interested in restricting all marketing you receive please request “opt out” or “no marketing/direct mail”. You may do so by writing us at: Premier Community Bank, P.O. Box 399, Crestview, Florida 32536, by calling 1-800-919-1146 choose “0”, or by visiting a branch and speaking with a customer service representative. By doing so, you are directing the bank to remove you from lists used for direct mail and telephone solicitations. Once you make this selection, your name will be removed within 30 days from these lists and you will no longer receive solicitations in this manner.
IDENTITY THEFT
Premier Community Bank, will never send emails asking for personal or account information. In most instances, we will not send you emails unless you have initiated an e-mail dialogue with us or you have previously requested us to communicate with you via email.
Fraudulent emails and Web sites can appear to be from legitimate companies and include their images and logos. They often have a sense of urgency about them and state that if you fail to update or confirm certain information, access to your accounts will be suspended. These emails are fraudulent.
Steps you can take to help protect yourself from fraud and identity theft:
- Don’t give your Social Security or account numbers to anyone over the phone unless you initiated the call.
- Shred receipts, old account statements and unused credit card offers before throwing them away.
- Review your account and credit card statements as soon as you receive them.
- Protect your PINs and computer passwords.
- Review your free copy of your credit report once a year to ensure accuracy.
